Structured Literacy Implementation Partner

Serving Oregon Schools & Districts

Willamette Valley Dyslexia Center partners with schools and districts to strengthen foundational reading instruction through Structured Literacy systems aligned to the Science of Reading.

We support implementation — not isolated workshops.

“Structured Literacy benefits all learners—not only those with reading difficulties. Its explicit, systematic, and multisensory approach gives every student the tools to decode words, build vocabulary, and develop comprehension with confidence.”

WVDC helps districts move from fragmented interventions to coherent literacy systems.

Check out our Learning Suite

Our Professional Learning Library offers a curated suite of trainings—including URD (Understanding Reading Difficulties), FSR (Foundations of Skilled Reading), and related sessions—designed to support educators, specialists, and families.

All learning is aligned with International Dyslexia Association (IDA) guidelines and Oregon Department of Education (ODE) literacy standards, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and instructional integrity.

The library is intentionally designed for busy professionals and parents, delivering the most current research, clear explanations, and practical application without unnecessary complexity. Each session bridges research to practice, helping participants understand why reading difficulties occur and how to respond with effective, evidence-based support.

This professional development suite supports shared understanding, instructional consistency, and confident decision-making across school, home, and intervention settings.
