Magic E Lesson Description + Activities (OG-Aligned)Lesson Overview

The Magic E (also called Silent E or VCe) is one of the most powerful early decoding patterns. This lesson teaches students how adding e to the end of a short vowel word changes the vowel from its short sound to its long sound (cap → cape, hop → hope).

Students learn:
